About me

Hello!

I live in Winchester with my family, including two school aged children. I have taught for many years in schools in Hampshire and in Surrey, as well as providing special needs assistance to individual children. More recently I taught online during the pandemic, and I now offer flexible online and in person sessions during the day and after school as required.

My background is varied, with a career in Medical Toxicology and Pharmaceuticals before retraining to become a teacher... the best desicion I ever made!

The way I teach is led by the interests of the individual child. I like to get to know the children, and work with them to get the best from them. I believe in a growth mindset. The children 'have a go' and are 'brave learners'. They will build resilience and self reliance when they are with me.

I always offer a drink and a snack to make them feel at home :)

In my spare time, I like to travel with my family and introduce them to the natural environment in the UK and abroad.
